Two young donkey brothers arrived in a dreadful state: their hooves are so severely deformed it's hard to believe they can still walk. Sven, the older of the two at around 10 years old, is surprisingly affectionate — despite everything, he seeks contact and still seems to want to trust people. We can't publicly share what happened to them yet, as legal proceedings against their previous owner are likely. In the meantime, we're doing everything we can to give them the best possible care: pain relief, specialised hoof care, rest, time, and lots of love. Sven and Olaf will be taken to the hospital in Murcia for castration, dental surgery, and further hoof treatment. The estimated cost is around €3,000.
